The software
PicXure is a lightweight image annotation and editing application for macOS 14.0 or later, distributed as a Universal binary for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. These terms govern your use of the app and of any license you purchase for it.
License grant
When you purchase PicXure Pro, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software for yourself or within your own organization. One license covers up to 3 Macs. You can deactivate a Mac at any time in PicXure → Settings → Pro to free its slot, then activate the same license key on a replacement Mac.
One-time purchase
Pro is a one-time purchase of $14.99 — the current launch price; the regular price is $18.99. This is not a subscription: there are no recurring charges, and your license includes future Pro features at no additional cost.
Free use and trial limits
You may use PicXure without purchasing. The free tier includes all six annotation tool families, the full editing toolkit, and unlimited copying of finished images to the clipboard — permanently, with no quota. Two capabilities are metered on the free tier as a trial: saving images to disk (3 times) and the mosaic redaction tool (3 uses).
License key and activation
Your license key is delivered to the email address used at checkout, usually within minutes. Activate it in PicXure → Settings → Pro. The key is proof of purchase — store it securely. The app validates the license periodically; if validation cannot reach the licensing service, the app keeps working through a 7-day offline grace period.
Payments
Checkout is operated by our payment processor, Creem, which supports credit cards, PayPal, and Apple Pay. WeChat Pay and Alipay are not supported at this time. Creem handles your payment details under its own terms and privacy policy; we never see your full payment information. For billing questions or refund requests, contact us at [email protected] and we will work with you to resolve them.
Acceptable use
You may not redistribute, sublicense, rent, or resell the software or your license key, and you may not reverse-engineer the software except where applicable law expressly permits it. You are responsible for the content you annotate and share — for example, do not use the mosaic tool to create the impression that information has been redacted when it has not.
Intellectual property
PicXure — the app, its design, and its branding — remains the property of its developer. Images you create, edit, or annotate with the app are yours; we claim no rights over your content.
Disclaimer and liability
PicXure is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the software — including data loss. Always keep backups of images that matter to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the software after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
